About the District

The Jasper County Development District #1 was formed in early 2000’s to promote tourism in the northern end of Jasper County and the District currently provides most of the operating budget of the Umphrey Family Pavilion. The District surrounds the southern end of Lake Sam Rayburn in Jasper County. The District is funded by sales tax and lodging tax in accordance to Texas State Law.   Read More
